B.A. (Honors) in History, University of Michigan, 1992; M.A. in International Affairs/Security Policy Studies, George Washington University, 1996; M.A. in History, Ohio State University, 2000; Ph.D. in History, Ohio State University, 2005.

My research interests broadly examine the affect of catastrophic, traumatic events, such as war (or the threat of such events) on individual and collective identity formation and memory.
