Wesleyan College’s premier, full-tuition scholarships are available to first-year students who are invited to interview on Scholarship Day.

Individual invitations for Scholarship Day, held once a  year during the spring semester, will be mailed to qualified candidates through the office of enrollment services. Traditional recipients may retain their scholarships for a maximum of eight semesters if they maintain minimum requirements.

Premier Scholarships

LANE SCHOLARS PROGRAM

This program provides full-tuition scholarships annually to academically superior first-year applicants for admission whose intended major is in the area of fine arts. Eligible candidates must possess strong academic credentials, and demonstrate their interest and ability to engage in research.

Requirements: A minimum 3.0 high school GPA

FINDLAY SCHOLARS PROGRAM

This is a full-tuition scholarship awarded annually to academically superior first-year applicants for admission who intend to declare a major in either the humanities or social sciences.

Requirements: Minimum 3.49 high school GPA

MUNROE SCHOLARS PROGRAM

Full-tuition annual scholarship for students majoring in the sciences, mathematics, or dual-degree engineering. Preference is given to students who demonstrate particular promise in scientific inquiry or research. Recipients also are eligible for research stipends of up to $1,000 during their junior and senior years.

Requirements: Minimum 3.5 high school GPA

MARY KNOX MCNEILL SCHOLARSHIP

Full-tuition annual scholarship for students who demonstrate a commitment to faith and community service. Must submit certification of church membership from pastor and provide one letter of support from a service agency to document community service activities. Preference will be given to students from the Central Savannah River Area of Georgia and to students who are active members of the United Methodist Church.

Requirements: Minimum 3.25 high school GPA 

MARGARET PITTS SCHOLARSHIP

The Margaret Pitts Endowed Scholarship for Methodist Students

Full-tuition annual scholarship for students who are active members of the United Methodist Church. Must demonstrate outstanding academic achievement along with commitment to faith, leadership, and community service. Transfer students from Andrew may also qualify.

Requirements: Minimum 3.0 high school GPA

PEYTON ANDERSON SCHOLARSHIP

Full-tuition (plus room and board) annual scholarship for students from the Middle Georgia area who are committed to teaching in the Middle Georgia area after graduation. One-fifth of the scholarship is a loan that will be forgiven at 20 percent a year for five years as the recipient teaches within Middle Georgia.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3.6 high school GPA 
  • Commitment to teach in Middle Georgia for five years.
LOVICK P. and ELIZABETH T. CORN SCHOLARSHIPS

Full-tuition (plus room and board) annual scholarship for students who demonstrate leadership in service to their schools, churches, or communities, and exemplify the qualities of leadership, character, and personal achievement. Must be a graduate from any high school in Columbus, GA, or the greater Chattahoochee area. Preference for students involved in Girls Inc., Brookstone School in Columbus, GA, or The Heritage School in Newnan, GA. 

Requirements: Minimum high school GPA of 3.20 (3.00 for Girls Inc.)

NCAA Division III Athletics

Wesleyan College is home to five NCAA Division III sports: soccer, basketball, volleyball, tennis, and softball. In addition, we offer an award-winning Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) Equestrian program.
