Join Library Director Kristi Peavy, College Archivist Virginia Blake, and Visiting Assistant Professor of History Dr. Brandi Simpson Miller, as they discuss how YOU can participate in the College’s Oral History Program.

During Alumnae Weekend we would love to hear your stories. You can do this in several ways: Schedule an oral history interview; Submit a written a narrative; Stop by one ofthe 3 listening booths set up in the library. Making History with Wesleyan's First-Five

Wesleyan Trustee Felecia Pearson Smith ’74 and Chief Diversity Officer, Dean for Equity & Inclusion, and Director of the Lane Center for Social and Racial Equity Tonya Parker ’01 will preview Alumnae Weekend’s Saturday afternoon panel discussion honoring the 50th Anniversary of members of Wesleyan’s First Five Black Alumnae graduates from the Class of 1972.

On Saturday afternoon during Alumnae Weekend join us for an up-close and personal conversation with members of Wesleyan’s First Black alumnae graduates, moderated by Wesleyan Trustee Felecia Pearson Smith ’74. Book signing by First Five honoree Christine Everett ’72 on the Chapel lawn following the program.

A little Alumnae Weekend Music

Join Dr. Chenny Gan ’02, Associate Professor of Music and Director of the M.A. Music Graduate Program, as she performs piano music and offers a sneak preview of the upcoming concert during reunion weekend.

During Alumnae Weekend be sure to attend Live & On Stage: A Celebration Pops Concert on Friday, April 22, at 6pm with Alumnae performers, music faculty, and students, including The Wesleyannes. Porter Family Memorial Auditorium.

Gallery Talk: Too Good to Miss

View the exhibit Indistinct Murmurs by artist Kirsten Stingle, whose narrative sculptures (ceramic and mixed media) were featured recently in Wesleyan’s East Gallery. While the show has ended before reunion weekend, Lisa Sloben ’00, Curator of Collections at Wesleyan and Adjunct Professor, showcases this exquisite collection with video and stills that we feel is “too good to miss.”
