Global Business, Economics and Culture

At Wesleyan, we are intent on educating the next generation of female world leaders.

Global business is expanding and creating a need for managers who are well-versed in international business. A quality degree can be an important springboard for individuals who are interested in securing a position within the global business market. Students develop competency in a modern foreign language; gain foundations of basic understanding of cultures; and focus on specific functional areas of business: accounting, marketing, management, economics, ethics, and finance.

Students who pursue a major in international business will be prepared to be effective in the international environment, with knowledge of the culture, language, business, and political affairs of other countries. Graduates will be prepared to work for multinational corporations in the United States and abroad or to pursue graduate studies.
