You’ll feel right at home in any of our residence halls, including charming details like spacious closets, student lounges, sun decks, and ceiling fans. Our spacious rooms will allow even our double occupants to make it their home away from home.
Your dorm room needs to function just like home. It needs to be a bedroom, a living room, a study, and have lots of storage space. It can be a warm and inviting space where everyone wants to hang out. Make it your own little spot of heaven on earth.
If you don't find your niche in any of the clubs and organizations on campus, you can create your own! It is easy to do and is a great way to refine your leadership skills and make new friends who share your interests.
Living on campus is an essential experience that is extremely important to both the curricular and co-curricular life of students. Wesleyan is proud to be a residential college that offers a variety of housing options for all students ranging from traditional residence halls to apartment style living. The Residence Life Team is committed to providing exemplary service to its residents. Our mission is to offer a safe, comfortable living environment that is conducive to academic and social development. You will find that students treat their college room just like they would their home by filling their rooms with decorations, photos from home, and personal belongings to assist them throughout the year.
To help you navigate Wesleyan College and residential living, we have hired 12 upperclass women who serve as resident advisors. Your resident advisor will assist you in getting acquainted with Wesleyan, adjusting to life away from home, and will plan educational and social programming for the members of your community.
Students who do not meet one or more of these criteria but who have extenuating personal circumstances are encouraged to submit the Commuter Request form below and a statement of their petition to be approved for a waiver.
If living off campus without permission, the student will be charged the full double occupancy room and board rate. Students will receive written notification from the Department of Residence Life if a waiver is approved or denied.
A student denied the waiver may appeal to the Dean of Students for final consideration. Appeals must be submitted in writing within 72 hours of first notification of denial. Off-campus resident status may be renewed annually. Students will receive an e-mail request for confirmation of residential address by July 1 (Fall Semester) or December 1 (Spring Semester). If a student's residential circumstances change, they must notify the Department of Residence Life immediately. Failure to provide current and accurate residential information may result in the student being charged the full double occupancy room and board rate. ALL Students must fill out the housing application whether they are requesting a commuter status or not.

Get ready to make Wesleyan your home away from home! If you plan to live on campus, make sure to submit your housing application as soon as possible to reserve your space. Residence Life will notify all new students of their housing assignment by mid-July for incoming fall students and mid-December for incoming spring students.
You will receive more information from Residence Life, including your specific move-in time, what to bring, and how to prepare for move-in, as we get closer.

Newly admitted and deposited students will complete the Wesleyan College Housing Application via Wesportal with their Wesportal login credentials in your "Welcome to Wesleyan" email. This form includes questions about students’ living habits, hobbies, and personalities, as well as preferred building and floor. Using this information, the Office of Residence Life matches students with roommates who have similar preferences and interests. Students who know who they would like to live with may also select their preferred roommate on this form.
Wesleyan College is privileged to steward many arts and cultural events and share them with the community. Most are free and open to the public. Wesleyan art galleries are open M-F 1-5PM and on Wesleyan Market Saturdays from 10AM-2PM.
