All full-time undergraduate students registered for at least 12 credit hours in the day program (i.e. non-online only) are required to enter an online health insurance waiver or enrollment form through each summer before the academic year begins. If students choose to waive the insurance, the waiver must be submitted annually. All students will automatically be billed for the student health insurance and the charge will be credited after an approved waiver; without an approved waiver entered before the deadline (August 1), the charge will become non-refundable.
To learn more about the Student Health Insurance Plan, the college’s insurance requirements, and how to waive or enroll, go to the Student page of WesPortal. Please follow instructions from our student insurance provider, which will be sent via email to eligible students once the online insurance waiver and enrollment forms are available to you.
NOTE: Undergraduate students must be registered for 12 credits in the Day Program to complete the online enrollment or waiver form for the insurance plan. If you plan to waive, your current insurance must be fully compliant with the Affordable Care Act and provide access to doctors in the Macon area.
